Designed around evidence-based approaches for families facing multiple risk factors, the SLCN's Family Empowerment Program [FEP] provides trauma-informed home/community based crisis stabilization, intensive case management, parenting support, counseling, and educational parenting groups for the highest risk St. Louis County families with children between 0-12 years. Services are delivered within the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework, with an emphasis on reducing key family risk factors for child abuse and neglect, while increasing family protective factors to help families achieve greater safety and stability.
