School-Based Counseling
Since 1955, Saint Louis Counseling (formerly Catholic Family Services) has been providing professional, evidenced-based mental-health counseling services in the St. Louis community. Saint Louis Counseling therapists are embedded in 110 public, private and parochial schools throughout the St. Louis area, including 44 within St. Louis County. Our School Partnership Program (SPP) therapists provide individual counseling sessions and psycho-educational group therapy with students, using a wrap-around approach that involves the school team of professionals and children's families. These school-based mental-health services are provided at no cost to the families.
Office-Based Counseling
Since 1955, Saint Louis Counseling (formerly Catholic Family Services) has been providing professional, evidenced-based mental-health counseling services in the St. Louis community. With eight offices spread throughout the St. Louis area, including four that are located within St. Louis County, our licensed professional therapists are accessible and committed to addressing various types of mental-health needs of children and youth. Individual counseling, psychoeducational group therapy, family counseling, as well as Love & Logic parenting skills classes can be scheduled at our office locations.
Outpatient Psychiatric Services
Since 1955, Saint Louis Counseling (formerly Catholic Family Services) has been providing professional, evidenced-based mental-health counseling services in the St. Louis community. Saint Louis Counseling's psychiatrist, Claudia Viamontes, M.D., serves both children and adults at five of our outpatient offices, three of which are located in St. Louis County. She provides psychiatric evaluation, consultation, ongoing medication management, is board-certified, and treats a range of mental-health conditions, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety disorders. Psychiatric services are accepted by most insurance companies.
School-Based Prevention Services
Since 1955, Saint Louis Counseling (formerly Catholic Family Services) has been providing professional, evidenced-based mental-health counseling services in the St. Louis community. Saint Louis Counseling therapists are embedded in 110 public, private and parochial schools throughout the St. Louis area, including 44 within St. Louis County. Our School Partnership Program (SPP) therapists provide social-emotional learning presentations, upon request, for grades K-12. These school-based prevention services are provided at no cost to the families. Saint Louis Counseling routinely uses the research-based and nationally recognized curriculum Second Step and BrainWise in its social-emotional learning presentations.
