Queen of Peace Center
Child and Adolescent Program
Queen of Peace Center Child and Adolescent Program provides behavioral healthcare to marginalized and under-served children and adolescents. The focus is early childhood intervention and prevention, emphasizing the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of the children and their mothers with substance use disorders. These children exhibit symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attachment issues, emotional deregulation, ADHD, and conduct disorder. The adolescent program will focus on the youth living in North County, particularly in the priority zip codes of 63135, 63136, 63137, and 63138. Prevention, education, case management, and counseling efforts focusing on substance use as well as a myriad of mental health issues, including violence prevention toward self and others will be addressed with the adolescent population.
