Transitional Living Children's Safe Bed-Nights
Lydia’s House serves survivors of domestic violence and theirchildren. The agency has the capacity to house up to 85 children at a given time at both itsSt. Louis County and St. Louis City locations. The program Transitional Living Children’s SafeBed-Nights is defined as one full night of safety and security for children protected from thehorrific experience of being in a home where domestic violence is a frequent occurrence. Inaddition to providing Safe Bed-Nights for up to two years, children are also provided with awide range of support services that include advocacy, case management, skills classes, afterschooland summer programs, supervised playtime, age-appropriate support groups, therapysessions, tutoring and homework assistance, a supervised computer lab, on-site health clinicservices and follow-up support. Since Lydia’s House’s inception in 1995, it has provided417,906 Safe Bed-Nights to over 1,000 women and children escaping domestic violencesituations.”
