Social Worker Services at the Library.

Meet With Social Workers in St. Louis County Libraries.

Social workers are now available in St. Louis County Library branches to provide one-on-one assistance and to help connect community members to resources and service providers related to a variety of needs, including housing and food insecurity, childcare, parenting, mental health, and more. Social workers also train and support library employees in assisting patrons who experience mental health or other crises while at the library.

This program, also known as the Community Resource Initiative, launched in 2023 and is a collaboration between CSF, St. Louis County Library and Epworth Children & Family Services to help reduce barriers to accessing social services.

Residents can visit social workers at six St. Louis County Library locations:

• Florissant Valley
• Lewis & Clark
• Mid-County
• Natural Bridge
• Rock Road
• Weber Road
