St. Louis County Intensive Outpatient Programs.
Intensive outpatient programs offer ways for a person to get help for a serious mental or behavioral health issue without having to live in a facility. In intensive outpatient programs, a patient’s care is typically planned and scheduled in advance, and a person may meet several times a week with a mental health professional.
Intensive outpatient programs may include meeting with a psychiatrist; individual, group or family therapy; educational group meetings; consultations or referrals for additional services; and more. These kinds of programs can be helpful for people who live with substance use disorders, depression, eating disorders, and other serious mental or behavioral health concerns.
