We are pleased to announce our 2023-2026 Core Funding Opportunity recipients! The award is our largest Core Funding allocation since it began in 2010. We will distribute $150 million among 71 organizations that provide mental and behavioral health services to children and families in St. Louis County.

As our largest funding allocation to date, the Core Funding Opportunity was created to support mental and behavioral health services like substance use treatment, transitional housing, therapeutic counseling and more. Organizations must meet a list of requirements to be eligible to apply for Core Funding. Once received, applications are reviewed by an internal and external team before recommendations are approved by the board of directors.

“Our Core Funding Opportunity is just one of the many ways we’re able to support essential services for local children and families,” said Emily Koenig, executive director of CSF. “We are especially excited to welcome several new organizations and programs to our growing network of integrated partners.”

About St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund

Created by St. Louis County voters in 2008, St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund (CSF) invests in nonprofit and governmental entities to provide mental and behavioral health services to children and families throughout St. Louis County. As the largest children’s service fund in Missouri, CSF has invested more than $550 million in organizations throughout the community using the “Putting Kids First” sales tax, which allocates a quarter-cent of every dollar spent in St. Louis County to its funding for services falling within its core focus areas. These core focus areas include crisis intervention, counseling, child advocacy, education, prevention and more. For more information on CSF, partner organizations and the funding process, visit stlcsf.org or call them at 314-615-5850.
